SCHOOL POWER UPDATE

I am writing with an update to the ongoing situation at school where we have been without an electricity supply since Monday.

I want to begin by sincerely thanking you for your continued support during this difficult week. Please know that I absolutely share your frustration regarding the time it is taking for power to be restored to our school.

I am pleased to confirm that UK Power Network arrived on site this afternoon at 2.40pm. We are awaiting a second engineer but believe that power should be restored to the school this evening. This is excellent news.

I have been working closely with the Ark Central Management Team, Hastings Borough Council and the Local Authority regarding this matter to ensure it was being treated as a priority, however we had no authority over how UK Power Network responded to emergent situations.

As long as power can be restored, we will reopen to pupils on Monday 6th November.

I will write again to confirm this over the weekend once works have been completed.
