How to apply
Applications for places in Reception at Ark Blacklands will be made in accordance with East Sussex County Council's co-ordinated admission arrangements.
Applications for Reception can be submitted through the East Sussex County Council website, using this link below.
Applications to start school in September 2026 need to be submitted by the 15th January 2026.
Parents will then be notified by East Sussex County Council on the 16th April 2026 if their application has been successful.

Honestly, we could not be prouder of every single one of our Year 6 pupils who have absolutely demonstrated our Blacklands 'Habits of Success' this week. They have shown responsibility for getting here on time and for working so hard in the lead up to this week.
They have shown courage to 'have a go' even on the tricky questions; independence because in a test you have to try for yourself and determination and resilience in buckets!
