Record Results for Blacklands!
Record primary results at Ark Blacklands Primary Academy
Exam results for our Y6 pupils were released this week. They show yet another marked improvement at Blacklands. The number of pupils getting a ‘level
I am delighted with this year’s results, especially the fact that the KS2 results have improved by such a margin just one year after joining the Ark network. The results really show that the hard work we have put in has paid off. Our pupils, teachers and teaching assistants have really gone the extra mile. I’d like to thank the whole school community, including all the staff and parents for their support this year.
Our Key Stage 1 results also show a second year of improvement and are all above the 2014 national averages.
There has also been further significant improvement in the percentage of pupils who met national expectations at the end of Early Years, with 82% of pupils reaching a Good Level of Development (significantly above 2014 national average of 60%).
Phonics results are also strong, with 86% of pupils passing the year 1 phonics check, compared to a 2014 national average of just 74%.
Our results have shown a two year trend of improvement which is an indication of the commitment of our staff and pupils to continually improving the education at Blacklands.
